Fosamax Press Room: Coming Soon.
Fosamax, also known as alendronate, is an osteoporosis drug manufactured by Merck & Company. Since Alendronate is a bisphosphonate, it may help to reduce bone fractures by increasing bone mass.
Fosamax has been linked to a serious bone disease known as osteonecrosis.
Osteonecrosis of the jaw, also known as ONJ or jawbone tissue death, causes a patient's jawbone to rot and die, requiring long-term antibiotic therapy or surgery to remove dying bone tissue.
If you or a loved one is suffering from Osteonecrosis and that individual also took Fosamax, you may be entitled to a substantial recovery.
